I believe in God! I have my own beliefs, why should I change mine now?

There is one God and he doesn’t play musical chairs.  The first commandment says, "Thou shall not have any other God’s before me” (Exodus 20:3).  God is not Allah, Krishna, Bahullah, a Force, Nature, Mother Gaia or any other name you want to ascribe to Him.  The Bible says His name is Yahweh or Jehovah.  Jesus came as God in the flesh to save the world.  Many say they believe in God but what is His name.  The Bible says that the devils believe in God (James 2:19).  Do you equate your belief with the devils or in the one who came to save you - John 3:16?  Anyone who believes in one true God must come through Jesus Christ.  He says to repent and believe the Gospel (Mark 1:14-15).  The God of the Bible says if you believe in Him you must be born again.  "Verily, verily I say unto you, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3).  All have sinned against God (Romans 3:23) and your only hope is Christ. No other has shed his blood as a sacrifice for you (Romans 5:8-10) to take away your sins.

Any beliefs you have must be based on some standard.  The Bible is that standard!  "It is the Spirit that quickens, the flesh profits nothing: the Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit and they are life” (John 6:63).  Many say they derive there beliefs within themselves.  How do you know they are right?  The Bible says trust not in yourself but in the One sent to save you!  "There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14:12)

Your beliefs must be based on God’s plan and not on man’s tradition (Matthew 15:8-9).  It must not be in man’s philosophy, the New Age, occult, or vain deceit (Colossians 3:7-9).  Faith in Christ is essential as you must adhere to his teachings and continue in His Word (John 8:31-32, Matthew 16:24-26).  God requires you to believe in Him and lay down your life of selfishness and serve Him and others (Romans 10:9-10, Mark 12:29-31). "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saves it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18).
